Our goal is to collect information provided by the community about reported incidents to inform the public about road conditions. All reports are reviewed by our team of moderators. Since each report is based on human interpretation, we encourage users to consult this information with caution.
When reporting, you can indicate if you have already notified the municipality ("City notified"). It remains essential to officially notify the city concerned: Ayoye allows you to list critical areas for everyone's safety and inform citizens, but does not replace your report to local authorities.
Reports including photos and a description are processed and transmitted as a priority to the competent authority.

TERMS OF USE (TERMS OF SERVICE)

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the use of the Ayoye application and website. By accessing our mapping and reporting services, you (the "User") agree to the following terms.
1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By browsing the application or reporting an incident (pothole, accident, construction, debris), the User acknowledges having read and accepted to be bound by these Terms. Use of the map, based on OpenStreetMap data, constitutes automatic and legally binding acceptance.
2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Ayoye! is a community platform for viewing and reporting road hazards.
- Nature of service: Information is provided by users and is intended for mutual assistance.
- Accuracy: Although we use Nominatim services for address accuracy, we do not guarantee real-time accuracy of reports.
- Transmission to authorities: We are not required to report incidents to municipal authorities, but we strive to do everything within our power in this regard.
3. USE OF SERVICE AND PROHIBITED CONDUCT
The User agrees to use Ayoye! responsibly. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Abusive reports: Creating fake accidents or potholes.
- Data extraction (Scraping): The use of bots or scripts to extract report data from the map is strictly prohibited.
- Use while driving: The User agrees not to use the application while driving, in accordance with Quebec road safety laws.
4. DATA AND CONTENT OWNERSHIP
- Map data: The base map is the property of OpenStreetMap contributors (under ODbL license).
- Reports (User Submissions): Photos or descriptions you upload remain your property, but you grant Ayoye! a worldwide, royalty-free license to display and moderate them on the map.
- Use of photos: All photos published on the site may be accessible to the public and used for advertising purposes.
- Intellectual property: The name "Ayoye!", the logo and the interface source code are the exclusive property of Ayoye.
5. PRIVACY (DPA)
We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Geolocation: Your position is only used to locate the report.
- Contact: If you contact us via our form (powered by Tally.so), your information is processed only to respond to your request.
- Security: We implement reasonable measures to protect data from unauthorized access.
6. DISCLAIMER AND INDEMNIFICATION
- Use "As Is": Ayoye! is provided "as is". We are not responsible for damage to your vehicle caused by a pothole, even if it was not indicated on the map.
- Legal liability: In no event shall the operator of Ayoye! be held liable for accidents occurring during use of the application. The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claim related to their use of the service.
7. MODIFICATIONS AND TERMINATION
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use after a modification constitutes your acceptance. We may suspend your access in case of abuse or harassing behavior towards the community.
8. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any dispute relating to the use of Ayoye! shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the district of Montreal.
